Using nothing but leather cut-outs and snap-on buttons, Adrien Rovero creates animal figurines. Titled Clickazoo, the collection of leather animals was created for Hermes.
This design is something new because it uses very minimal materials. Like origami, it has to be folded to come to life, but due to the thick leather's texture, snap-on buttons are used to keep the folds in place.
When the animals are not folded, they are flat cut-out pieces. You won't be able to make out exactly what the cut-outs will fold up to be -- this is what makes assembling them an exciting project. Because of the flexible texture of the leather, these figurines can be folded and unfolded multiple times -- they'd be conveniently portable as they can be easily flattened for travel.
