Google updated its analytic tools which can be used by news organizations to help get insights into their audience. The new audience analytic tools were created as part of Google's News intuitive, which started in 2018 and attempts to support the industry with actionable data. Recently Google created new versions of its News Consumer Insights tool, which helps news organizations grow audiences and become profitable, and also its Realtime Content Insights, that help news organizations find topical content.
Amy Adams Harding, the director of analytics and revenue optimization for Google news and publishing, noted that the old versions of the tools provided large amounts of data that some organizations struggled to implement
