The Last Fred Perry Amy Winehouse Collection Goes to a Good Cause
Kalliope Amorphous — August 9, 2011 — Celebs
The final installment of the Fred Perry Amy Winehouse collections has been released. Winehouse, whose tragic death shocked the world last month, had designed three collections for the British sportswear label. She began collaborating with Perry last year, debuting a fall collection in October 2010 and a Spring 2011 collection this past March.
The decision to posthumously release Winehouse’s latest collections came with the blessing of the family and all royalties will go to the forthcoming Amy Winehouse Foundation, a charity set up to help those afflicted with substance abuse in the singer's name.
This beautiful collection of classic, yet contemporary designs features 50s-inspired apparel, including checkered tops, cropped sweaters and houndstooth shift dresses. The Hepburn-esque ad campaign features simple, crisp white backgrounds to showcase these bright colors and elegant designs.
The collection will be available via Fred Perry and all retailers carrying the brand.
