Artist Amy Ross didn’t think wolves were threatening enough on their own, so she decided to strap guns and assault rifles onto the cunning animals in this peculiar series of paintings.
The Boston, Massachusetts-based illustrator transplants wolf heads onto human bodies in this collection, and she also equips her hybrid subjects with various military gear and protection. Perhaps Ross is saying that those with access to firearms, even the most well-trained and disciplined of people, instinctively become bestial predators.
