The Amidov Cherry Wood Table isn't quite as flexible as most furnishings of its type are, given that a portion of its surface has been removed and replaced with an inset basket. This unusual feature has been sculpted by the structure of the table's support, which is a rake-like framework of eight crossing metal legs.
The sturdy bands begin tightly together before they bend and splay gradually towards the floor. This increased area makes the movable firm on its feet and expresses a refined elegance of form.
Designed by Ami Drach and Dov Ganchrow, the Amidov Cherry Wood Table does invite a certain imaginativeness of use by which one can turn the pannier-like middle into a fruit bowl or a frame for decorative objects.
