The Alexis Mabille Spring 2012 Haute Couture collection is sure to be one of the most memorable and dramatic shows of Haute Couture Fashion Week in Paris.
The French designer debuted his incredible collection that featured models sauntering down the runway wearing massive rose-petal headpieces in different colors, with matching painted faces and chic outfits.
For such opulence on top, the clothes themselves were surprisingly (and thankfully) simple and wearable. Chic pencil dresses and gorgeous flowing gowns took center stage -- a difficult task when the models looked like life-size, walking fragrance bottles with those flowers on their heads. However, the Alexis Mabille Spring 2012 Haute Couture show was all about the clothes and, while the rainbow-bright accessories and face paint could have been distracting, the clothing remained the focal point of the show.
