The Alada folding desk by Daniel Garcia Sanchez is a space-saving modular desktop that doubles as a decorative shelf. Designed for the Woodendot company, the Alada desk can be transformed into a display shelf for small decorative items like picture frames, plants, and candles, all in one swift motion.
In response to a growing need for flexible workspaces at home since the beginning of the pandemic, Sanchez came up with this modular design. The goal is to help users working from home separate their work time from their private time, which is often challenging in small spaces. The desk's multifunctionality continues: the Alada also features a hidden storage space when folded up to conceal desktop stationery items such as notebooks or laptops.
