The Aedas 'Contained Calls' project is one of the shortlisted entries from the Architects Journal '36 Calls' design competition. It's not hard to see why -- this structure comprised of piled-up pods is brilliant.
The Aedas 'Contained Calls' design was based on the old warehouse structures that once occupied the site. The commercial building features two columns of units stacked about four pods high; some of them extend further out over the surrounding water. Simply amazing.
