MVRDV's Adaptable Home Can be Altered to Suit Various Needs
Mishal Omar — October 23, 2017 — Art & Design
The Dutch architecture and urbanism firm MVRDV has designed a unique adaptable home which is currently on display for Dutch Design Week 2017.
The vividly hued micro home features a series of rooms, each of which have their own, brightly colored theme. Each color room has a different purpose, and the spaces range from bathrooms and bedrooms, to living areas with ladders and hammocks. The adaptable home can be altered and reconfigured to suit the needs of those who live within it, making it a piece that is both artistic and highly functional.
Called (W)ego, this space's design could have implications in a variety of areas – whether those are functional micro living, or to inhabit refugees.
