These abstract lamps created by Quebec-based artist Jean-Pascal Gauthier make up unique shapes and designs.
The concept of the lamp is deconstructed and re-imagined as something that can function as an art piece rather than just a utilitarian home product. In the unusual series, simple lines and circles make up uncommon lamp designs -- with some lamps even having extensions that hold accessories and planters. Although most of these abstract lamps hang from ceilings, some are wall-mounted while others are standing lamps. The lamps are all handmade and are comprised of brass, walnut, teak, acrylic and steel.
These elegant lamps put a spin on what the function of the products normally are and make them the primary focus of the rooms they are placed in.
