Eventide, a company famous for its professional suite of audio plug-ins, recently released the 'Blackhole Pedal,' which is an otherworldly reverb hardware unit for creating and transforming sounds into unique soundscapes.
Drawing from its name, the Blackhole Pedal is a compact black box featuring an intuitive layout of six dials and two foot switches for complete front-panel control. What makes the Blackhole Pedal unique is the two infinite reverb options: Infinite Mode and Freeze Mode, which help to suspend sounds and create ethereal soundscapes.
The Blackhole Pedal offers plenty of flexibility to live artists and producers by allowing up to 127 presets via MIDI control that can be accessed through the Eventide Device Manager (EDM) or toggled on the pedal. Even though the unit is small, it still manages to pack every key user control in, including mix, gravity, delay, feedback, size, depth, rate, filters, output and freeze.
