The Porsche 911 GT3 R is a fully fledged race car version of the production 911 GT3 RS. This vehicle is designed to be quicker than its predecessor without the expected accompanying rise in price.
In terms of mechanical setup, the Porsche 911 GT3 R is very similar to its road-going cousin. It is powered by a modified version of the RS' 4.0-liter six-cylinder boxer engine, which can produce over 500 horsepower. The engine uses direct injection running at pressures of up to 200 bar in order to attain improved fuel efficiency.
The car is fitted with a six-speed sequential paddleshift gearbox that directs power to the 310/710 R18 rear wheels.
