In an effort to show off the stunning capabilities of the new Sony Xperia X5, the brand used a dozen of the smartphones to create a 4K video camera with a 360-degree recording radius.
Shot at the Rise Ski & Snowboard Festival in Les Deux Alpes, France, the 360-degree video was able to be created by utilizing a custom-made tripod for the smartphones. Incorporating 12 individual slots for the 12 smartphones, the 4K video camera that was created as a result captured stunning imagery of the winter wonderland.
Sony used the video captured as a promotional piece of marketing at CES 2016, where the video was show on the new horizon screen above the brand's informational booth.
