The Neurosky is Being Used with a 3D Printer to Turn 3D Brain Scans into Art
Eric Westcott — March 16, 2014 — Art & Design
Artist Ion Popian is using an EEG headset and a 3D printer to create art out of your 3D brain scan. The scans are taken while you are wearing a Neurosky EEG headset and having scans of your brain waves be scanned while you watch videos. The project is titled 'Mental Fabrications,' which is a fitting title because you are literally fabricating mental patterns.
This process allows Popian the ability to display different emotions as works of art. Having brain waves printed in 3D essentially lets you be able to hold your emotions in your hands. You will be able to see when you felt most relaxed or on edge while listening to music or looking at different images.
