VLANK CONCEPT WEAR's New Series Draws from a Subtle 1920s Inspiration
Riley von Niessen — September 7, 2016 — Fashion
A Japanese streetwear label known as VLANK CONCEPT WEAR recently sought out a 1920s inspiration for its latest collection, one surrounding the rise of jazz music specifically.
Although the way in which this is done in the apparel itself is quite minimal, the brand is sure to show its train of thought throughout its 2016 Fall/Winter lookbook. In this, it maintains its 1920s inspiration by styling the photographs with muted tones that work to accent the simplistic menswear.
In addition to this, VLANK CONCEPT WEAR is sure to have some of its models captured with hairstyles that are iconic to the time, further enhancing the 1920s inspiration. While the majority of the apparel is graphic-free, a few pieces state "JAZZ AGE" to make the linkage to the Roaring Twenties more evident as well.
