Tile is a popular choice for home decor because it's timeless, relatively durable and easy to clean. One of the drawbacks of most types of ceramic or porcelain tiles is that, well, unless you're a masonry whiz, they're quite boring.
The unusual tiles in this cluster, however, defy traditional tile stereotypes. There are tiles that drip blood, tiny personalized tiles and retro pin-up tiles. For more discerning tastes, there are gold tiles and even diamond-encrusted tiles. Some of the tiles featured below even serve a purpose besides pure design, doubling as utensil holders or futuristic cooktops.
