From Steampunk iPod Cases to Segways
Shelby Lee Walsh — July 7, 2009 — Unique
As the 80s and (especially) the 90s are seeing a revival in our fashion and music, it is only obvious to assume that art and design would soon follow suit. Steampunk art was popular over a decade ago and is now coming back into the artsphere.
The beautiful art form that depicts a world where steam power is still widely used no longer exists merely on paper. Modern technology (such as the iPod) is seeing itself remixed to look like it is from Victorian-era England. Jewelry is seeing a similar swing to Steampunk as well.
