Stained glass windows are a staple among holy houses of worship. Especially prevalent in Catholic churches, stained glass windows are not just pretty to look at. They originated because most followers were unable to read, therefore the only way they could know what was going on was to follow the pretty pictures on the wall. I obtained that little nugget of knowledge in 2nd grade… awwww.
