From Windmill-Inspired Stadiums to Transparent Stadiums
Christina Butty — August 24, 2009 — Art & Design
Building stadiums is a major project for any city. Not only does a stadium have to be able to accommodate thousands of people and a variety of events, it also has to look good.
As cities fight to create an urban identity, more attention is being paid to the aesthetics of these enormous buildings which are usually situated in the core of the urban landscape. When done correctly, these stadiums can enhance the image of the city as an innovator in design.
