Although snails are innately slimy creatures, apparently people find them endearing. They can be rather adorable (especially in animation) and they represent a slower way of life. Perhaps that’s why designers, artists and companies have embraced creating sluggish innovations.
With life more hectic than ever before, sometimes you need a reminder to slow down and smell the roses. These sluggish innovations are a subconscious way of conveying this.
