From Sideways Speeding Autos to Supersonic Levitating Trains
Amelia Roblin — January 18, 2015 — Autos
Fairly recently, maglev transportation technology has been tested for effective use in mass transit, but the potential of this technology has yet to be explored more profoundly. Scientific research and practical application have both proven how efficient the magnetic levitation truly is, eliminating the friction factor, conserving energy and even preventing collisions.
What has cropped up on the radar are the hovering high-speed trains of Japan and Germany, demonstrating the great speeds that can result from magnetically driven systems. Inspiration from these experiments encouraged the development of all sorts of concept cars and public transportation solutions, including accident-proof autonomous vehicles and supersonic levitating trains. Give it another year and a great deal more maglev transportation ideas will have risen above the surface.
