We've all heard that electric cars are the future of the automobile industry, but the otherworldly designs in the cluster below don't look like anything we've ever seen before. From crab-shaped concepts to gas-free production automobiles, these electric cars are truly unique (and, let's face it, downright bizarre).
Implications - Though eco-friendly electric cars are fairly new, they already bear a negative connotation in consumers' assumption that they are boring, aesthetically conservative and generally unexciting. Thus, eco-conscious car companies are looking to spice things up by adding futuristic elements in hopes of sparking a passion for environmentally friendly vehicles that reaches beyond the eco-conscious consumer, pushing the electric car to a mainstream market.
