From Heartbeat-Tracking Apps to Cancer-Spotting Glasses
Jamie Danielle Munro — April 30, 2014 — Tech
Because technology is expanding so rapidly these days, the opportunities for doctor replacement devices is also becoming that much bigger. Many companies are developing apps and pieces of tech that do what doctors once did, and in a much shorter time frame.
For example, baby-monitoring apps are becoming more and more common, as expectant mothers want to ensure their unborn child's safety at all times. Bellabeat meats these needs, as mothers can download the app and understand the appropriate means of heart monitoring. However, it should be said that almost all of these devices should not replace doctors entirely, but it certainly gives people much more information before heading to their physician's office. It could also give people more awareness of general illnesses too.
