From Exotic Character Containers to Lavish Pet Lairs

These creative Kenneth Cobonpue designs are the perfect example of natural design done right. The Filipino designer is known for using natural materials such as bamboo, rattan and buri to create a wide variety of products, including furniture and the occasional automobile.
When using natural materials in design, the finished product often tends to look like the material itself. This isn't always a bad thing, but it can be when you are trying to create something that is refined and modern. These creative Kenneth Cobonpue designs successfully make use of natural materials, while at the same time looking every bit like modern furniture made using artificial ingredients. Of course, sometimes natural is the way to go in both form and function, as evidenced by Cobonpue's breathtaking Phoenix Bamboo eco-car made out of nylon, steel bamboo and rattan.
