Insects are a sustainable and nutritious food source that is slowly but surely becoming more accepted by consumers, so the ZIRP INSECTS branding has been designed to make them even more appealing.
Designed by Gerlinde Gruber, the packaging transforms the insects into mascots in a cartoon form that was illustrated by Simon Hagleitner to make them appear friendlier and more appealing. This is paired with a see-through window in the middle that actually offers a view to the insects within to help convey the freshness and make them less creepy for consumers.
The ZIRP INSECTS branding acknowledges how brands are working tirelessly to help position insects as a viable food source that could help to drastically cut our emissions when it comes to farming and production.
