Bo Zhang Designs the Zig/Zag Collection of Colorful Decor

Artist Bo Zhang designs the Zig/Zag collection, which is comprised of colorful and structural decor. It features vases with a mirror attached and a tray with a mirror. At a glance, it looks like any other playful object for the tabletop or show-off flowers. At a closer look, users will see that it is all strategically placed taking color and placement into consideration. It also has specific directions that create a zig-zag line in order to form an optical illusion.

The 'zig' side paints the objects in one vibrant hue where as the opposing 'zag' side is painted in a different color that can only be seen through the mirror's reflection. Zhang shares his inspired concept for the capsule, "I have always hoped to surprise and challenge people’s thinking through my designs. Zig/Zag presents the concept. The contrast will arouse people’s curiosity and emotional turmoil. Therefore, I create an incredible feeling through vision, color and space. In addition, I hope to see the interaction between the design and the public. People will see different shapes, reflections, and colors of Zig/Zag from different angles. This process makes people feel very interested and fascinated."
