Bleeding Black Light Captures

The Zevs Suite 112 Installation Pairs Art With Crime

The Zevs Suite 112 Installation is both eerie and intriguing and plays on what can be seen by the naked eye as well as what lies beneath.

Hosted by W Hotels in celebration of opening its W Paris Opéra, the collection is inspired by a crime scene. For the show's opening night, a CSI-attired man shone a black light over the pieces to reveal famous fashion logos that were dripping and bleeding off of the walls. These logos were only visible under the special lighting, similar to the way that investigators scour a scene with special lights to find evidence not visible otherwise.

Developed by the artist, the invisible ink used is blood-red in color and can only be seen using special lighting. The installation is an expansion of the artist's fashion victim series, and delves into the way that fashion, art and crime are all strangely linked.
