Zara stores have been undergoing high tech transformations as the brand attempts to fuse online and offline retail and its latest move toward a tech-infused store is the introduction of Zara'a AR app.
After downloading the app, consumers inside of select Zara locations can point their phones toward various spots in the store and see a model walking around in the brand's clothes in augmented reality. Consumers will have the opportunity to click the virtual clothes for more information, and can even make payments directly through their smart phones. This move enables consumers to witness the garments in action, while offering an unobtrusive and streamlined method of purchase.
The app will be available in Zara stores globally on April 18th.
