Seattle resident Zane Whitmore saw the Long Valley Caldera area of California in a whole new light this past weekend when he took flight in a hot air balloon suspended only by body piercings on his shoulders that were made especially for the stunt.
Zane Whitmore's 75-minute flight was staged as a part of the Precarious Egg documentary Feet Off the Ground. Producer Sean Devine said of the hot air balloon ride, "The irony of this event is that the shock value is there -- suspending from a balloon thousands of feet in the air -- but we hope that the scenic beauty of the spectacle will soften what's often seen as something brutal."
Feet Off the Ground explores the suspension community in an artistic, beautiful way; the video above shows the picturesque landscape in which Zane Whitmore enjoyed his hot air balloon ride.
