He tells the attendees of the innovation conference that he was inspired by the furniture in his childhood home, much of which recalled stories in the form intricate carvings and drawings of figurines like gargoyles, animals, and humans engaged in battle or romance scenes.

"We bring intellectual property, we bring a marketing approach, we bring all this stuff, but I think at the end of the day what we bring are these values," he says. "These values create a soul for the companies we work with."
