Yoshio Hasegawa and his intricate soda can sculptures sets a new standard for paper art. Hasegawa uses nothing but paper and acrylic to create this netted pattern pop can. If this sculpture was used practically, it may not be the best option to hold drinks in, but it sure does make for great art.
The finer details of the soda can are truly stunning to look at, and it isn't until you take a long detailed look at the structures that you can even tell that it is made from paper and not wire or metal. Each part of the can has a different pattern and fold, with the bottom and top of the can with a tighter knit. I cannot begin to imagine how much time and patience it takes to craft just one of those cans. Yet, Yoshio Hasegawa created large structures from multiple paper cans.
