German design firm Studio Nito designed the 'Bobina' furniture collection that features a series of yarn-wrapped pieces.
Made from a mix of yarn and resin, the chairs and coffee tables look more like wicker chairs than something made from a limp material like yarn. The studio used the process of layering and weaving the material so that it would be reinforced well. While the furniture appears to be more suited for outdoor patio furniture it can also be used indoors. The line features two different styles of tables and chairs, all of which are offered in a variety of colors -- including yellow, blue, pink, black and gray.
These yarn wrapped furniture pieces make it clear that unconventional materials can be used to make both sturdy and unique pieces of furniture.
