Powerful Leaning Trikes

The Yamaha Tricity Can Lean and Tilt Like a Regular Two-Wheeler Motorbike

Automaker giant Yamaha released the Tricity, a tilting 3-wheeler vehicle. The Tricity is the latest in the increasingly popular narrow track vehicle segment of the auto market. It was launched at the Bangkok Motorcycle Show in Thailand and is set to go on sale in the U.K. within weeks.

The Yamaha Tricity is the only 125 cc three-wheeler on the market, meaning it has no direct competitors. This 125 cc engine is hooked to a four-stroke gearbox that is highly fuel efficient. It also includes a huge under-seat storage compartment and LED front lights.

The Tricity has a unique lightweight parallelogram link that gives the rider the option of leaning the vehicle like a conventional 2-wheeler motorbike. The leaning twin-wheel front suspension design explains the bike's surprisingly low weight of only 152 kg.
