Lightweight Legacy E-Bikes

The New Yamaha Pedal Assist Line Features Road and Mountain Bikes

Yamaha was the first company to release a power-assisted bicycle when it did so in 1993, and the company is continuing to innovate in the field with the new Yamaha Pedal Assist line. The collection of e-bikes includes three road bikes for commuters and one mountain bike, but rest assured that the tech behind these rides is far beyond those initial early-90s transports.

Yamaha's first bike in the collection is the CrossConnect, a commuter bike focused on comfort and convenience for day-to-day biking. The next is the CrossCore, another commuter bike but with an eye toward some fitness activities as well. The UrbanRush is nominally a commuter ride as well, but it has a more aggressive look, including drop handlebars, that makes it great for long-distance adventures and more serious cycling. Finally, the YDX-TORC is a mountain bike that harness the same pedal-assist technology.
