It was announced that the 'Xperia 1 II' will be the first 5G smartphone from Sony. The device will initially be shipped to consumers during the spring of this year, where it will be available in either white, black or purple. Sony has not yet indicated a price point for its initial 5G device.
The Xperia 1 II will feature a 6.5 inch 4K OLED HDR display, as well as Dolby Atmos and a modem with 5G capabilities. Sony states that the display provides, "unprecedented color accuracy." The device also contains three cameras, each with 12-megapixels and Zeiss lenses. Additionally, there is another sensor on the back of the phone, that is able to increase the zoom capabilities.
