FUJIFILM announced the addition of a new lens that's compatible with its lineup of X series mirrorless digital cameras, called the FUJINON XF50mmF1.0 R WR.
The very first of its kind, the lens offers a maximum aperture of F1.0 and autofocus capabilities. When the lens is set to its maximum aperture, it's able to achieve an incredibly narrow depth-of-field—making it a great option for portrait photographers and those who prefer the smooth stylistic qualities supplied by this feature.
The lens also provides photographers with a variety of low-light capabilities, as the F1.0 aperture enables the lens to draw in more light. To offer a more precise focus, the lens comes with a newly designed focus ring—making it more accurate than the brand's other XF lenses. To protect the lens from dust, decreased temperatures, and water, FUJIFILM seals it in 11 key areas, making for a durable lens that's well-suited to outdoor shooting.
