Microsoft is conducting a number of different tests on the Xbox One home screen. Notably, one test will give the Xbox One Home screen a cleaner look. The test screen has removed the Twists function located at the top, replacing it with separate buttons to launch games or other functions available on the console.
Microsoft indicates its changes to the home screen are the result of user feedback -- stating people would like to launch applications faster from the home screen. Microsoft believes the home screen experience is important as it is the first thing a user sees when forming the console.
Microsoft is also making changes to the voice commands on the console, this was done in an effort to improve the platform's voice experience.
