BMW recently reworked its X6 coupe to create a design it has titled the "world's blackest black." The entirety of the reworked X6 coupe is covered in Vantablack, which was created by Surrey NanoSystems and is able to take in 99% of light. The pigment was created for scientific, as well as architectural projects. The car will be shown off at the Frankfurt Motor show, where it will be exclusive to the auto show.
BMW has indicated that its X6 Coupe is the first car to be painted using the Vantablack pigment. The car also has a glowing kidney grille, as well as twin headlights and taillights. The glowing grille provides a sharp contrast with the car's dark black paint job.
