The Wrong Chairs Series Comprises Whimsically Weird Windsor Chairs

Some of these Wrong Chairs appear peculiar right at first glance, while others might deceive your eyes for a little bit longer. Designer Norman Kelley was inspired by the familiar look of the iconic wooden seat, striving to give it new personality and purpose.

The collection of quirky dining chairs combines rails, stretchers and spindles that have been manufactured from beautifully turned wood. These come together to become backrests, armrests and legs for the smooth timber seats, but they have not been assembled in conventional ways. The Wrong Chairs have seemingly broken supports, missing frames, asymmetrically extruded tables and siamese perches. The series is wacky and wonderful and does a beautiful job of blending tradition and contemporary playfulness into one's household decor.
