There's something very organic-looking about the Woven Series. Aside from the fact that each piece looks like it was made out of a ball of lint, there's also a nest quality to each piece that gives it that natural aesthetic.
Created by New Zealand designer Timothy John, the Woven Series is fashioned from steel wire and industrial felt. A very gray collection, it's comprised of two bucket chairs and a grandfather clock: The Genius, The Mastermind and The Deviant. The series was inspired by a previously designed steel wire ball pendant light shade.
Beautifully textured, the Woven Series encourages an emotional connection through interactivity. This is brought about by the desire to truly touch and feel these pieces of furniture.
