World Pillow Fight Day took place in cities around the world Saturday 22 March, 2008. The picture and video show thousands of people battling it out in New York's Union Square.

The idea started with Lori Kufner and Kevin Bracken, who have organized pillow fights and subway parties in Toronto and New York. But now it has gone global as the 'urban playground movement.' This year massive pillow fights were organized in 30 cities around the world, from Atlanta to Zurich.
