It is time for the World Sand Sculpture Festival and, as always, this year’s theme of 'Fairy Tales & Legends' has delivered some awesome sand work. You can see it for yourself at the Sand Dunes in Tottori until the end of May.
On average, just under 3,000 tons of sand are used for the World Sand Sculpture Festival; as you can see, the level of skill involved is ridiculously high. The gallery shows the entrants from this year’s festival, including artists from India and Germany.
