The fact that the Wooden Hammock looks like a spine makes me believe (perhaps a little strangely) that it would offer a very comfortable resting spot to sway in after a hard day of work. Considering that it won the Herman Miller Design Competition solidifies this belief ten times over.
Created by Australian designer Adam Cornish, the Wooden Hammock is unique on several levels, of which the main one is that it is made out of wood. Since traditional hammocks have always been made with some sort of cloth, this is an original reinterpretation of them.
