Hipster Sculptured Wooden Furniture

This New Collection of Wood Chairs and Stools is Minimalist

If you want to give your space a fresh and eclectic touch, make sure to check out this collection of minimalist wood chairs and stools from TON -- warning: you'll fall in love and probably buy the whole collection.

Designed by Vienna-based designer Alexander Gufler for the Czech furniture brand, the collection of minimalist wood chairs and stools was recently launched at Salone Internazionale del Mobile at Milan Design Week 2014.

Using Merano wood, the collection includes chairs, bar stools and a Stelvio table. The whole collection is timeless and comes in beech, oak and American walnut.

"I wanted the chairs to make an aesthetic impression as sculptures but on the other hand I wanted them to be comfortable and practical," says Gufler. "The Merano chairs and bar stools therefore combine the bottom design made of solid wood with harmonic shapes of bent plywood in the seat and backrest."
