Wooden Eco Calendars

The Wood Calendar Juxtaposes Wasted Timber with the Permanence of Time

The Wood Calendar is an eco-friendly and interactive way to ensure that you proactively stay updated. The monthly calendar is a simple horizontal stand with the seven prefixed days of the week imprinted across it. On top, seven holes enable rotatable wooden blocks to be inserted, each with the dates of the month a week apart inscribed down the block.

Each month, the user simply disassembles the blocks from the horizontal stand and rearranges them according to what day the first of the month begins. Designed by MUNITO, a South Korea-based furniture and product design company, the wood calendar is made from spruce timber. The inspiration behind the design was to make "easily wasted wood" to the "perpetual calendar," giving the calendar a longevity and permanence about it.
