Re-Purposed Cork Decor

The Wire Christmas Angel Ornaments Put Drink Stoppers to Good Use

Rhonda Gerken came up with a good way to put those cork caps from all the wine bottles you'll be opening over the holidays to good use; create wire Christmas angel ornaments with them.

The bodies of the angelic figurines are re-purposed liqueur corks. Circular wooden balls are used for their heads and wire gets coiled and twisted to form heavenly golden wings. The halos on top of the wire Christmas angel ornaments are also made from the spindly gold metal.

You may purchase these crafty holiday figures from Rhonda Gerken's Pineywoods Pickle shop on Etsy. If you are the creative sort you can also attempt to make them into a DIY Christmas project. Most of the materials are probably lying around your house.
