Williams Esports, the esports branch of the renowned Williams Formula 1 Team, has unveiled the inaugural season of its student competition, the Student Racing League.
Commencing in November, the competition will showcase the skills of top student racers hailing from 30 educational institutions across the United Kingdom. To enrich this endeavor, Williams Esports has joined forces with the British Esports Federation. Their collaboration aims to impart knowledge and insights about the advantages of sim racing and esports to the participating students.
This venture not only fosters competition and skill development among young racers but also underlines the growing significance of esports in the broader educational landscape.
"The Student Racing League offers a new platform for students to not just engage their passion for racing, but also to develop crucial skills in performance and operational roles in a growing industry, providing valuable experience and development to students aspiring to careers in the field," said Steven English, the Director of Williams Esports.
