There are so many beautiful sides to a city that go unnoticed, but in the William Eckersley Silent Night shoot you get to see London as many never get to. The photographs showcase nooks and crannies of the city that few would ever stop to ponder about. The fine art photographer took four years to capture these shots, freezing in the winter months and using the few dark hours of night in the summer. The William Eckersley Silent Night shoot has been collected in his book Dark Nights and shows the capital in a light that has not been explored.
"At night London is lit up from all these different angles and different light temperatures, from sodium streetlights, fluorescents and halogens," explains the photographer. "The lack of humanity is a really interesting prism to see the city through."
