Creative duo Will and Carro demonstrate how fascinating and captivating a myriad of tiny paper butterflies can be to form engaging works of art. The two self-taught artists makes use of washi, a Japanese paper, to create their delicate butterfly collages.
Each of their pieces feature the dainty and light paper butterflies offered in a wide color palette and arranged in various designs. While Carolyn Wong brought her interest of Japanese culture with her, her partner William Du's interest in movement and disorder was brought together to create a complementary partnership. As Will and Caro explains, "The inspiration lies behind nature in that it’s design is both deliberate and effortless which is reminiscent in some ways of the life experiences unique to each individual."
