Whole Earth Peanut Butter is Free of Single-Use Plastic

Wessanen UK-owned Whole Earth Peanut Butter has announced that it has removed plastic from its jars in a bid to shift further away from single-use plastics. The peanut butter is packaged in glass jars that will no longer feature a plastic seal around the lid as a tamper deterrent and will instead feature a paper label. This will serve the same purpose, but eliminates the need for plastic components to make the packaging completely recyclable with no waste.

Marketing and Category Director at Wessanen UK spoke on the new Whole Earth Peanut Butter packaging initiative saying, "We want to provide the best products for both our consumers and the world we live in. Removing unnecessary plastic from our packaging is a big priority for us. By eliminating the small bit of single-use plastic on Whole Earth’s jars, we can minimise plastic pollution and make our jars even more environmentally friendly. For the health of our planet, it’s important that we all commit to making small sustainable changes that can have a big difference."
